Background: My in laws live in another state and do not fly. Therefore, when they visit they drive, which takes them a day, and they usually stay with us for about two weeks.

So here’s the story: I’m a first time new mom due in the summer and my in laws will already be visiting for a wedding three weeks before my due date, so they announced that it doesn’t make sense for them to go back home and that they will just stay here in anticipation of the new baby.

So that means during my last three weeks of pregnancy when I would imagine I would be most uncomfortable, and when my water breaks, and when the baby is born, they will be here.

I hate to sound awful but this honestly sounds like a nightmare. Is it just me? What was everyone’s rules with in laws visiting with a new baby?
