I got one free through insurance. They recommend me to get it before my baby was here in which I did but it took about two weeks to get. I’m so thankful for that advice as my milk came in the day after I had my son and I was SOOO engorged that I fed him and still had to pump for relief.

When I had my first, I didn't get one until after due to paperwork issues with my insurance, but I would definitely recommend getting one before it you can. I ended up having to get one as soon as I left the hospital so I could pump after each feeding to increase my supply.
