How did your flu start ?

My throat is starting to feel scratchy . No fever . But I’m afraid I’m starting to get the flu . I’m 30 weeks . I pray it’s not . What were your first symptoms ?

Symptoms mean nothing since flu symptoms and common cold symptoms are almost identical.
For one, you cannot self diagnose for flu. You should go get tested at a local clinic.
Also, many people self diagnose and say “ I have the flu”.
The flu will have you BED RIDDEN, vomiting , and feeling like death warmed up, for WEEKS.
A common cold will bust your ass but you won’t feel like dying and it will not last for weeks.
Also.. most common phrase from people that take the flu shot is “ I got the flu shot and got the flu form it.” You cannot get the flu from the flu shot since the flu shot is inactive ( it’s not a live vaccine). Like with any vaccine, the flu shot will make you feel a bit weak and maybe feel a bit under the weather . But the flu shot cannot give you the flu. 
Just go to a clinic and get tested to get a proper diagnosis and get proper treatment. 1500 people have died in the US this flu season alone . Most unvaccinated against it. 19 babies have died from the flu. Most were unvaccinated against it.
It’s never to late to get vaccinated against the flu  . Eve man if you end up getting the flu later on even with the flu shot, you will get a much lesser version of the flu .

My throat felt gross I knew I was getting sick not sore but scratchy then cough & then I got aches chills headache I was hot / cold & super sweaty then I got a runny nose I was so tired & then eventually it all went away and the cough stuck around for like a week after

I had the flu and bronchitis with my second child. 
I wanna say my bronchitis started first and I woke up one morning in sweat and body aches everywhere I was about 4-5 months pregnant 
I was miserable for about 2 weeks mainly because the bronchitis my head , chest and stomach hurt so bad from constantly coughing 
This is my 3rd baby and I was definitely slacking as I get vaccinated every year for it but I got the shot at 37weeks from Walgreens so it’s never to late to get it 
And remember even though you get the shot , don’t mean you still can’t get it..... it just won’t hit you as hard it’ll hit more as a cold then the full blown thing 
But start doing more of a liquid intake , eating soups, and putting a humidifier on

I had the flu at Christmas and mine started with a sore throat, then an awful cough, then I lost my voice. My husband had it the same. He ran a fever for one day, but I never did. We were down for a few days, but the cough stuck around for over a week. I had my flu shot and he did not.

I had the flu shot and still got the flu. First time I’ve gotten the shot and the flu in 6 years. Anyway, mine started with a really really sore throat, the next day care the body aches and cough. Mine was much less severe than my husbands so I hope you got the shot.

Started with a cough that made my chest and back hurt and I had a hard time breathing through the pain. I was also congested. Got worse and then I lost my appetite and felt feverish (would have had a fever if my body could, but my immune system doesn’t work right). I went in and got tested - positive for influenza B. I wasn’t surprised because the week before I’d been around a lot of it as a teacher.

I got a flu shot and still got the flu so even if u got it it doesn’t matter :( 
Mine started with a sore throat. Then turned into a cough and runny nose and body aches. I’d go in and get the flu swab for sure. Don’t wait because the sooner they find out you have it the sooner u can start tamiflu and it made me feel better so fast. If they don’t catch it until days in the tamiflu won’t help at all.
