I broke up with my bf today of 3 months due to a lot of differences we were having and because of an incident that happened on NYE that really bothered me and I’m still wondering if this interaction counts as a cheating incident.

My bf and I went to his high school friend’s party to prepare for the countdown and ring in the new year. Although he was really sweet to me throughout the night and we kissed at midnight, the moment he reunited with his high school friend, he got so incredibly touchy with her. He wrapped his arm around her, was basically interlocking fingers with her at one point, and were talking with their faces within kissing distance. She got him a glass of water and ran her hand down his chest and he DIDN’T DO ANYTHING. Everyone was drinking, and he wasn’t really keeping track of how much he was consuming (he was trashed beyond belief though). At one point I purposely cockblocked him and this girl and he moved me aside to stand by her. AT THE END OF THE NIGHT, he accidentally called me her name and quickly apologized, but the damage had already been done.

Readers, does all of this count as actual cheating? Or is my ex-boyfriend gaslighting me and the situation by blaming it on alcohol? I want to know your truthful answers.
