do you guys think having a baby shower at 35w5d is waiting too long?

I had my first at 32... this time I’m waiting because I want it to be later so I’ll be about 35 weeks

I’ll be 33 weeks at mine, but I wouldn’t say 35 weeks is too late. I’m such a planner/organizer I’m kinda going crazy having to wait to get everything into place, but that’s just my personality.

I wasn’t planning on having a shower for this pregnancy (2nd pregnancy but opposite sex as my first) that is until Thanksgiving. My family really just likes to throw parties and at that short of notice, I’ll be almost 37 weeks on the only date that I’m able to have it. And I now have a wedding later on the same day 😬

With my first I had my shower at 34+1, packed my hospital bag 34+2, water broke 34+3 (at 3am) and had my baby 34+4. I’m not having a shower for my second baby, but if I was it would be before 34 weeks. 😂

My friend had hers at 37 weeks, I’m having mine at 29 weeks since hubby is deploying and we have a lot of family & friends coming in from out of town. I’d be nervous having it later but I’ve seen it done a lot! (I’ve gone to about 6 showers in the past few years)
