Thoughts on name Arya?

Question

My husband and I agreed on Arya, we loved the name, and yes it is just like the GOT character. But we actually like the name. 
We have shared with some family and like half of them seem to think is weird 🙃 and since we are Hispanic I wanted to know if it is a cultural thing or what. 
So what do you think? 
Ps. We are not changing the name regardless. We love it and it will be my girl’s name ♥️

Love it! I’m due in June with my baby girl and we are naming her Arya!! Most people have loved it but there are a few people that have their comments but I could care less lol! And some people make a big deal about it being spelled with a Y instead of an I. People are too traditional and need to watch more GoT is all I know lol!!  💖

She's my favorite character and this name was on my list but my bf doesn't like it. May use it for a middle name

I wanted to name my daughter Aria. Husband was against it because of Pretty Little Liars lol
Never seen GOT. Didn’t know it was a character there, too. It’s becoming a really popular name.

I personally love the name! & my husband & I are doing all A names for middle names.. but he hates the name, so I can’t use it. LOL 🤷🏻‍♀️ it is going to be a very popular name for the next few years because of GOT so there might be 3 kids in her grade with that name or none at all.. either way it’s cute! I’m Hispanic too & am giving my husband a nonspanish name (my husband is black & I’m mixing names up) my mom hates it but I don’t care. 😊 My kid, my choice. Your kid, your choice.

The only problem I see with it is I think Aria would be hard for a little one to pronounce when they start learning their own name

Already have an Aria at home :) think we first heard it on PLL. So obviously we liked the name. It’s not in ode to any characters, just simply like the name. We call her Ari a lot too. It fits her well. If you like it you like it. End of story :)

I like the name but have an issue with the spelling. Your kid will constantly have to spell their name for people because you changed the traditional spelling.

It's a cute name but its soooooo popular and over used within the last few years. I personally try to go a route that isn't so common but that's just me
