Membrane sweep??

Question

How many people got membrane sweep and did you go into labor afterward? Did it do nothing? Does it hurt or just uncomfortable? My midwife said she could do one at my next appt

I had mine done at 38+ 2 (4 days before my induction date), and I gave birth the next day. It was uncomfortable and a bit painful. I came home bleeding and feeling crampy  with small contractions.

My midwife mentioned today she can do one at next appointment if I want but personally she doesn't believe in them as there is no evidence they work and they quite often make people bleed which makes them panic and head to hospital when not required wasting everyone's time🤷

I had two done and nothing when i was pregnant with #2. Im due with #3 tomorrow and wont be requesting one unless i hit 41 weeks as a last effort before induction.

I got mine done a couple days ago and nothing. Still scheduled to be induced the 8th.

I had one Friday morning, bled/cramped a bit Friday and Saturday... and now nothing 😒

I'm not having it done this time, but with first pregnancy my Dr suggested it. I had it don't twice but it did nothing for me. First time was uncomfortable, second time was very painful.

I got mine done this past Tuesday at 37weeks and nothing happened. Supposed to get another one tomorrow.

My doctor did one at my 40 weeks appointment however since I’m still not dilated I don’t think it did much. I’ll probably be induced Thursday or Friday

I got one at 38 weeks and nothing. Then I got one at 39 weeks and my water broke like almost 48 hours after! So I’m not sure if that’s the reason why or not but 🤷🏽‍♀️
