He gambled our rent money

A week ago I found out my husband has a gambling problem. Now today I found a notice from the landlord for saying rent is past due and we have 7 days to pay it. TOMORROW is the 7th day and I don’t know what to do. He told me it was already paid for this month but it was all a lie. I only have like half of the rent in my savings account and I don’t know what to do about the rest. I don’t have any family or friends so I don’t have anyone I can ask to help me out. Do you think the rent office would possibly work with me so I have time to pay the rest? I can’t get evicted because I’ll have nowhere to go. I’m in panic mode right now😢
