Aromatherapy candles in the same room as newborn?

I’m into aromatherapy. I want to light up my relax  lavender candle but my newborn sleeps in my room. My baby is only 6 days old. 
Anyone know for sure?!!

Artificial fragrance is not good for anyone. They disrupt the hormones and may cause breathing issues and cause headaches.
I'm certified in French Medicine of Aromatherapy and we use essential oils in our house for scents.

Some research suggests that burning a candle for an hour has the same effect as smoking a cigarette. 😕

Strongly recommend against! I’ve heard it can be very unsafe. A quick google search gave me this.

However, I’m not an expert and would recommend running it by your baby’s pediatrician.

I personally light candles and incense anytime I get the chance. I have a 3yr old and a 9month old and there hasn’t been an issue with it.
