Born at 40+5 at home!

After 42 hours of labor and about 45 minutes of pushing in the birth tub, baby was born at 11:41pm on January 5! Unmedicated birth is no joke, but I am SO happy with my choice to do it at home with an incredible team - the two midwives who've been with me the whole pregnancy, an awesome doula who was at our house for over 30 hours, my supportive and encouraging husband, and an unexpected addition - my chiropractor, who came over twice to adjust me and do acupuncture to help encourage baby to move down.

Baby is so perfect and is latching beautifully - she passed all of her tests with flying colors, and we feel so loved and supported. I am happy to answer any questions about her birth, if you're curious about home birth, too!
