Pregnancy after miscarriage - Should I take something?

I had a miscarriage in November and just found out I'm pregnant again!🤞

I booked an appointment with my doc for Friday (I'll be 3 weeks then). As nice as he is, he's more the "let nature take its course" type of doc. So I'm wondering if I should be asking him for hcg testing (didn't do this on my last - not even after my mc... I basically tested my self back to 0 with tests... $$$) and if there's anything else I can take to help prevent a future miscarriage. I'm 37 so keep that in mind too ☺.

Anyone else go through something similar and had the doc prescribe them specific things the second time around post mc?
