Back story- I was recently laid off while on maternity leave. My daughter is 3 and my son is 5months. My husband picks up extra shifts during the week and on the weekends he does side work. He’s working hard to make up for the difference til I can find a new job.

Last night I completed bedtime routine with my daughter and as I was helping her get settled into her bed before a book I noticed something under her pillow. It was a picture of my husband from our wedding that she took off the bookcase. She said mommy I miss daddy and hugged and kissed the picture. I just held her and kissed her face. And told her that daddy loves her and will be home soon. I sent my husband a text and told him. When he got home he said he won’t work on Sundays anymore to have more family time. And he’ll have a daddy/daughter day with her.
