Constipation or something else? Warning poop talk!

My son just turned 9 mos on 12/26. He’s been combo fed since 4.5 mos (breast milk/formula). He’s been straining to poop, like you can tell he’s pushing really hard and then it will be this tiny little poop.

Today While he was sitting in his high chair for breakfast I heard a loud grumble from his stomach and then a other loud noise, and he was clearly working on something.

I quickly pulled him out thinking it was a massive poop explosion.

It was a semi solid poop covered in what looked like slime but was probably mucous?? And a little bit of pink blood.

Any thoughts?? He goes to the ped for his 9 month today so I’ll ask them of course.

UPDATE: he has an anal fissure from straining to poop. Dr said to offer more liquid, more high fiber foods, and a little neosporin or preparation H.
