Missed miscarriage after heartbeat -how common?

Question

After a breather of not worrying, again out of the blue came the worry! I can’t take this! 
I’m today 10+6 and went to an ultrasound on 9+3: everything was there, saw the heartbeat and doctor said that it looked like a very healthy pregnancy. Symptoms have come and gone but they exist (especially nausea and exhaustion). 
Now I’m all of a sudden sleepless over: 
what if something happened afterwards and I’m not aware? how possible that is? 
next ultrasound is on 24th January so still exactly two weeks to wait.

This helped me a lot with any anxieties, I am very data driven. Assuming you don’t have a history of miscarriages and are not currently high risk you have a less than 3% chance of miscarriage at 9 weeks 3 days. I would say even less than that if you’ve already heard a heartbeat. Don’t let the anxiety win mamma! Let yourself relax and be happy! This is something completely out of your control 💞

The fluctuation of symptoms is totally normal! I had horrible morning sickness and abdominal cramping up until 10 weeks and everything stopped. I had an ultrasound at 9 weeks but then wasn’t seen until 14 weeks where they heard the heartbeat and I was terrified the entire time that something happened. If you’re worried, or the data doesn’t settle you, or even if you just need validation for yourself, call the doctor and schedule an appointment and express your concerns. I’m sure they’d be more than willing to do a scan for you to ease your mind!

I had a MMC in July. See heartbeat at 8 weeks but 10 weeks knew something was wrong. Baby stopped growing a couple of days after 8 week scan. I am now 19 weeks and all is going well but i still worry everyday. I think its a normal thing to worry but i was always told worrying wont change things. Just enjoy it xx

I’m 27 and had my first pregnancy in early 2019 and I had a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks but the baby was measuring at 9 weeks.I would do your best to stay calm and not panic about what could go wrong.Do NOT google symptoms or worries because it’ll only make you worry more and 98% of the time the internet isn’t correct.If you have worries or concerns about literally anything just go to the emergency room.

Its uncommon. Maybe 5%. You only hear about it because it's so unusual and upsetting.
