should i try a VBAC?
so i had a pretty traumatic labor and delivery. idk if anyone wants to hear my story so i’ll make it short and sweet.
at 34 w i was diagnosed with cholestasis. soooo itchy! i was induced at 36w. first they started me on pitocin and rubbed my cervix every 4 hours with something. next was a foley bulb and that didn’t progress me any further, i actually didn’t urinate for 9 whole hours! it hurts so bad i was pale and swollen they ripped it out and i peed all over everyone lmao it was embarrassing. so they broke my water and cranked up pitocin. man oh man i never felt real pain! lol
i sat at 8cm for 2 days. they wouldn’t give me an epidural until i was 9CM.
so i started screaming and i got one😬🙄 i went to 10 and i knew one the back of my mind i needed to push, but they kept telling me “no you’re fine we just checked. sit until 6am” and that was at 10pm.
this whole thing was a 5 day process btw. doctor comes in at 8am and i didn’t sleep, i was sweaty and shaking i told them i needed to poop and i needed to poop NOW. they said he’s coming. alright sweet, i start pushing for 4 hours, i’m screaming something is wrong and they’re telling me i’m the worst pusher they have ever seen. cool i’ve never done this before. this doctor kept telling me “do you even wanna see your baby alive? try” and she ripped off her gloves and said “call the OR this lady isn’t doing anything” i busted out crying because i didn’t want a c section but now i got one, it was way easier than dealing with that bitch.
now, i really don’t wanna be cut open, i hear it’s easier to walk if you deliver natural. so i’m wondering is it even worth the damn trouble? i hated this dr! she wasn’t my OB she was just a random dr at the hospital that was on duty.
