Is you’re babies chatty?

Question

My son rarely gets in chatty moods worry that maybe I’m not socializing with him enough. I play with him but don’t really talk a lot . I’m just not a very chatty person myself neither is my husband. Just wondering if I should try talking with him more or if it’s just a phase.

My son doesn’t babble a lot like other babies do I guess? Like baba/mama/da etc. he will sometimes but mostly it’s just ‘ahhh’ or him blowing raspberries.

My lo never shuts up but I speak to him the entire day or we sing and dance but I’m a very chatty person so maybe it’s easier for me not to shut up . His also has 3 words under his belt and loves using them on repeat baba( dad in Turkish ) Dede ( grandpa in Turkish ) and hi our second language is Turkish so we try to incorporate that heaps aswell so he learns both , we are on the cusp of almost saying mum & Anne ( mum in English & Anne in Turkish means mum)

In public he won’t talk (he’s shy) but at home he won’t shut up 😂😂

Most days I'm alone with my baby 9 hours a day; if I talked to him all day I'd go insane. I do my best though as I know that's really important. 
Boys tend to be a bit later than girls with language development. Our guy babbles (repeated syllables like "buh" or "wah") occasionally but mostly it's still long vowel sounds. He likes to observe quietly but sometimes once he gets going it sounds like he's singing and yelling.

My daughter is verrrryyyyy quiet unless she’s comfortable. If she’s at home and playing she’ll scream and blow raspberries but never babbles

This was me with my first! He was a little behind with talking at the beginning but has caught up now. He’s 2 and talks a ton so I know June baby is getting a lot of conversation in, but when he’s not around I definitely don’t talk as much. I’m not chatty and I feel dumb talking to a baby 🤷🏼‍♀️

It could just be that your baby doesn't feel like talking much yet. I'm usually a very quiet person but I literally talk and sing to my baby ALL DAY about what I'm doing and some days she barely makes a sound
