Help.... thoughts

I had a miscarriage in August at 11 weeks. I was 39 at the time and my first pregnancy. I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and the Dr told me I am most likely having another miscarriage. I started showing signs of light pink blood this past Friday when I wiped. I woke up Saturday morning to bright red blood and a clot. I went to the ER my HCG was tested and my levels were 6573 on the 8th and 11964 on the 11th. I had an ultrasound and my ultrasound showed a fetal pole and sac with no heartbeat. The ER Dr felt I should just do a D&C and get it over with. But, I didn’t feel right not knowing if my HCG levels are dropping or not. I requested a D&C and not sure if I should’ve just listened to the Dr. I am no longer spotting but I do have light cramps off and on. Also with the ultrasound they found 2 Cysts. Has anyone else experienced this and not miscarry?
