Is your 3 year old potty trained?

My son is 3 and he used to want to go on the potty and started trying at daycare mostly and we started trying at home and it's like he completely lost interest. Doesn't even try now. Any advice would also be appreciated!

My son is 3 also and he will pee in the potty no problem. He will even go all by himself no help needed. However, he REFUSES to poop in the potty. He is afraid of having a painful BM that he would just rather go off and hide in another room and quickly poop in his underwear instead of going to the bathroom. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s the most annoying thing ever so if anyone has any tips I would greatly appreciate it. I believe it’s also fairly common for boys especially to have trouble with potty training! Good luck 😊

We used the "oh crap, potty training" method. I allison suggest reading it, a lot of good information in the book. Also, for speech delayed children, I would work on it the same way, but have the child learn the signs for potty or a picture system.

As soon as my son turned 2, he said I’m no baby and didn’t want to wear diapers anymore. He was out of diapers that week!!  Then he told me he wanted to ride a motorcycle. 😂

My 3 year old is speech delayed and still not talking much so we have not come up with a plan to train a nonverbal child. Any advice?

Mine will pee in the toilet but refuses to poop. He stand in the corner somewhere and poop in his pull ups. If I caught him in time and put him on a toilet. He won’t go until he’s off!! I’m frustrated and tired! ☺️☺️☺️

No but my 3 year old is autistic and doesnt have the understanding.
My eldest was potty traines by age 2 .
Its mormal for chidren till around 3 not to bw toilet trained.

My 3yo potty trained at 20mo. My second is 21mo and potty trained at 19mo. I also recommend “oh crap potty training”. I was so afraid of potty training but it was super easy using this method!
