Baby’s gender
Is it just me or does nobody want to raise little girls anymore? Are we still stuck on the “I want a boy first so he can be a protector” mumbo jumbo or the “I can’t deal with a teenage girls attitude” excuse?
Today I heard a pregnant staff member say she wanted a boy but recently find out the baby was a girl. She said “when you’re carrying a boy, you’re gorgeous. Boys make the mother gorgeous.” Ok so what do girls do?
It’s just frustrating knowing that most women want boys and if they do want a girl, it’s usually after they’ve already had a boy or multiple boys. Maybe I’m just taking it a little too personally since I basically grew up in the shadows of my older brothers. They could never do anything wrong but I was, and apparently still am, the one giving nothing but “attitude” and causing “headaches” and expected to clean up after them like a second mother because I’m the girl. My mother said she was happy that I was a girl because she already had two boys and needed help around the house. That’s what I was. The help. Everything I say or do is taken the wrong way. I’m constantly insulted and degraded. I can’t even stand up for myself but that makes things worse. I’m just supposed to shut up and be pretty... because I’m a girl?
You guys are all proving my point.
“I cried when I found out she was a girl”.
“I wanted a boy because I know HOW GIRLS CAN BE” 😂
“My husband isn’t a fan of the “teenage girl years” but who is?”.
I don’t care about a persons gender preference. The point is just flying over your heads.
Here’s a screenshot of a mother’s comment that I just seen on Facebook regarding her 10 year old daughter and younger son.

She said her son was “bad” (which everyone says and laughs about) but she wouldn’t have had her daughter if the son had come first... watch you guys try to justify this too
