Sweet sixteen?

Question

I am about to turn sixteen in February, and my mom is thinking about letting me get my nose pierced after years of begging. Any tips for prep or after?

My nose hurt the least and is healing better than my helix, so I would say your good on pain and healing so long as you take care of it. When I first got my nose done it burned and that day you realize how much you bump your nose and scrunch it up without paying attention. I would recommend getting h2ocean spray. It’s pretty much like a saline solution on the go. It’s in a nice spray can and I would carry it with me in my purse to mist my nose with when I would accidentally bump it or it felt dirty lol. When you have a fresh piercing it’s important to keep your hands off of it and keep it clean so the mist was a good mid day cleaner, but nothing too much that would irritate it or dry it out. Also you WILL get bumps. There is no avoiding it. When mine was fresh I would get stubborn bumps that I could only get to go away with a sea salt, water, and tea tree oil paste, but as it continues to heal and I’ve had it for 7 months now, the bumps that I get are a lot smaller and go away within a day without doing anything special, so don’t worry about those! Also if you are a rough sleeper I recommend going ahead and putting a bandaid over your stud if it isn’t a flat back. I learned this the hard way and had my nose stud pulled out the second night after getting it and had to force it back through, and it hurts worse than the original piercing with the needle.

As some one who has had many piercings and my mother has as well she has had many including nipples and down south she said her nose hurt the worse. But In my opinion my belly button hurt more.
