Membrane sweep?

Has anyone done a membrane sweep? My OB is offering me one on my due date (this coming Friday!)
Honestly just wondering how painful it is? 😬

I just got mine done it was just uncomfortable. hoping it starts something 🤞🏻I've just felt presure that comes and goes but other than that nothing else 🙄

I got one done last week at 39 weeks, this Friday I’ll be 40 weeks and officially at my due date and I plan to get another one done. Really would like to avoid induction, I want to experience labor at its fullest like water breaking and all. This baby is being soooo stubborn tho 😪

I had it done with my 2nd and it was quick (hurt a little but nothing like labor). The good news is that I went into labor that night.

My doctor has offered me one at 39 weeks (one week tomorrow) but I won’t be doing it. Unless I get far past my due date I want to wait for baby to come when he/she is ready.

I found it to be painful and uncomfortable. I did it at 41 weeks to avoid induction. By that point, my body was ready and labor kicked right in. So it continued to be painful after. I wouldn't do it again before 41 weeks, though I like unmedicated births so avoid as much intervention as possible.

It’s a bit uncomfortable but doesn’t hurt. Had mine last week at 39+1, but no big changes. My dr says for most women it just helps get things going in the body, not necessarily labour 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just had one and it didn’t hurt at all. It just felt like a cervical check to me 🤷🏼‍♀️ it did make me cramp after and my back is feeling extra right but that’s it. It’s only been a few hours so let’s see how things go :)

I had two. The first one didnt hurt at all and wasnt uncomfortable, the second one hurt and was uncomfortable.

For me it’s a weird kind of hurt from so much pressure 🤔 definitely made me grit my teeth but it’s super fast. 🙈

I had one yesterday and it was uncomfortable for about 15 seconds, but it definitely wasn’t painful. My due date is Thursday, but so far nothings changed except I have a bit of blood tinged mucous so I can’t say if it will work or is working - but you may aswell try because it could work if you’re ready 😊
