Wtf is a luteal phase and is mine F*cked up ?

So I have had 4 miscarriages with no answers to why.. then I came across and Article about having short luteal phases can cause miscarriages and I have no f*cking idea what the hell that is!!!

Help lol I never even noticed that phase on my app until today🤦🏻‍♀️

Do you track your ovulation? Unless you're tracking it it's impossible to have any idea how long your luteal phase is. You could ovulate Cd14 and if you get your period 14 days later than that's a 14 day luteal phase. But you could also ovulate CD20 and get your period 8 days  later in which case tour luteal phase would only be 8 days.

The luteal phase is the days after ovulation but before your period. 
So if ovulation is CD 15 and your Period Starts CD 30. CD's 16-29 are your luteal phase. Online it states you need at least 10 days in the luteal phase at absolute minimum to be able to get pregnant past possibly chemical pregnancy. Some doctors prefer to see like 12-14 days (14 is the max). 
If your luteal phase is really short. Then you may just need progesterone.
