How many do you get?

I’ve had a pap smear today because i’m 8 weeks pregnant and i’m in so so much pain still. This was hours ago. How many do you have to do when you are pregnant? I’ve had them in the past I never recall them hurting this bad it feels like I lost my virginity all over some reason. How many times do you have to do this while pregnant?

I just had the one at my first appointment! Nothing else like that until I had a cervical check at around 35 weeks, but you don't need to do that

Just one. You will have cervix checks though later in your pregnancy. Mine started at 36 weeks. You might also have to get a vaginal ultrasound at some point if they need to see something that they can’t abdominally. I had to have a vaginal ultrasound at my anatomy scan at 20 weeks because my baby wouldn’t turn the right way and they needed some measurements
