Need help with where to go from here

Me and my boyfriend are planning on moving out after the lease is up for our apartment in April because it’s nearly impossible to live with my grandmother. Last night there was a big fight because I had (calmly/nicely) asked my grandma and her bf (he was visiting from out of town for a week), to keep it down at night because I had to wake up at 6 in the morning. She had came up with the assumption that I was accusing the noise that kept me up all night, was them having sex to which she got offended. All I had asked her was to keep it down and she started cussing and telling my boyfriend she would kill him when he didn’t even say anything to this woman. Since my boyfriend moved in over the summer she has had an issue with him because he is excessively shy and she doesn’t like that so she acts like an asshole to him. It’s been crazy hectic for months and me and my boyfriend are fed up with it and want to leave. We moved from out of state and moving here was so expensive and we don’t have the money to do the same shit over again. I just got hired for a better paying job and quitting is not a choice at the moment because we are flat out broke! My question is, is it a good idea to save up till April then get our own cheap apartment, or find a roommate that will take the both of us? Mind you, we live in California so rent out here is mind blowing lol.
