Cutting toddler's hair

How do you cut your own kids hair my daughters hair is curly an I don't really want to cut it but she has split ends

I cut my own hair but mines more straight she's mixed so it's like little ringlets an unfortunately we can't really afford to go to a professional I will be cutting it myself I'm confident that I won't screw up that bad an its just hair it'll grow back
