Wishing to be pregnant :(

I want a baby so badly but I think I have a long journey ahead of me. I had unprotected sex on January 3rd, the 11th and then once again last night with my husband. My period is due today but I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. It absolutely crushed my heart because I really thought that it would be positive. I know it might be overreacting but i really don’t know how to feel besides sad and disappointed with myself.
