Hello ladies been post partum 6 weeks now and finally felt I could share my birth story.

On Wednesday December 4th I started having irregular contractions. By Thursday morning they were 5 minutes apart so I took a shower to try and calm them, had some cold water. They were still there so by 430 I woke up my husband and said we had to go. I had packed mine and babies bag by my 32nd week so they were ready to go. We got to the hospital by 5 am I was told I had a uti but I was 2 centimeter dialated. By 1030 I was 4 cm and in active labor. They induced me and broke my water and gave me an epidural. By 7:00 pm I was 7 centimeter, by 10 I was still at 7 but my blood pressure was in the 170/80s and the magnesium wasn’t bringing it down. Babies heart rate dropped from 150 to 70. Doctor came in and told me I needed a c-section. By 10:15 I was shaved and in the or. By 10:26 baby was out not crying not making any sounds. Babygirl finally calmed me and her dad by releasing one soft whine. Turns out my placenta had stopped growing and she was out of room. She swallowed amniotic fluid but didn’t need a nicu stay.

I didn’t find out all that had happened until 3 days after when my husband and mother told me. My babygirl was born at 37 weeks weighing 5lbs 3oz. Nurses came in and told me she was born with her eyes open and looking around just quiet observing.

I thank god every day for my beautiful blessing.
