Failing at sleep training....

So we're trying to sleep train. She will not fall asleep on her own ever. She wakes multiple times a night. She refuses to sleep in her bed for more than an hour at a time.

I feed her and lay her in her crib when she's tired and she just screams. She doesn't cry just ear piercing screams. I go in every few minutes lay her back down pat her butt for a few minutes and leave. She doesn't calm down while I'm in there. She just screamed until she literally threw up everywhere multiple times.

What am I doing wrong? How can I help her? I need my bed back... and for her to sleep without waking up every 2 hours.
