Period on hormonal iud

Hey ladies!

I got the kyleena iud inserted dec12, and had my checkup a month later. strings were longer, so i got an ultrasound but the iud was in the right spot. I spotted continuously from insertion until Jan13, when i started cramping and had slightly heavier bleeding ( still not a low at all, maybe enough for a light tampon over the course of 8 hours). This only lasted a day, and for the next 5 or so days I have had light cramping and slightly more spotting along with some clots (just thicker chunks of blood) It’s now beginning to stop. Just wondering if this was my first period? seems very odd, but i know hormonal iuds can do that.
