😞😞 Confused

Okay so I'm almost 20 I've never had a problem when having sex that I couldnt work around but i finally came across one that i don't know how to fix. I got back with my ex, the love of my life recently and things have been heating up. Well the other night he made his move and it didn't work. He is a virgin so it's a bit new to him so that could be the issue but I don't know. He tried to but it in more than once and he couldn't get it in and I couldn't either I didn't want to force it and hurt one of us. So if anyone knows something that would help it would be much appreciated.
