No work ethic? 🙄
This last trimester really has me HORMONAL. I am 23 turning 24 so a lot of people in my small town loop me in with 16/17 yrs olds. It gets on my nerves that they try to say all young adults have no work ethic. I don’t think that’s entirely true in my town especially. We have a lot of places that open up and close back down quickly. I worked really hard at my job at little Caesars lol back in 2018-2019. My reason for leaving was that we had no steady managers or anyone who cared enough to stay. We didn’t even have schedules. They worked me to death and told the employees to basically work what we worked the week before. Me and my SIL pretty much ran the place. We were shift leaders. Our managers treated us like shit and really only cared if we showed up for our shift. Didn’t care if anyone else did or if anyone actually worked and did their job. I think one of the main reasons (not in just fast food) people quit is because the way they are treated by the managers. A manager can make you have different experiences when it comes to a job. If you’re treated good you want to try your best if not, you don’t really care. It just really irks my nerves that the older generation tries to blame teens (especially kids still in high school) for being the reason no food joint lasts around here. They expect employees to get treated like dirt yet still want to work super hard, with a smile on their face etc.) and I don’t mean oh my manager is mean and wants me to actually do my job. I mean: being demeaned and treated less than a human being. I am not emotional at all (pre pregnancy 😂) but I just don’t think it’s right.
Now let’s flash forward to our little Caesars now. The employees won’t even come to the drive through window anymore. I’ve had to go in several times like more than 5. And they hardly even acknowledge me then. It really makes me realize how hard me and my employees tried compared to now. Don’t take your employees for granted!
