My husbands cousin just had a sweet baby girl. The name they picked is my all time favourite name that I have had picked out since I was a teenager. Is it ok to still name our baby girl this name too?

I mean, your guys’ kids that would share a name with each other are second cousins. Seriously, second cousins are far enough apart in familial relation that they are allowed to marry in all states. It’s no biggie. Everyone you know likely shares names with many other people you know. People like to pick from the same general pool of names, so it’s not weird. Go for it.

my family likes to name their kids after themselves or after the grandparents... 😅

I named my daughter, and then my younger cousin who I rarely see met her when she was about 1.5 she told me she was planning on naming her child the same exact name, middle name as well. It bothered me the way she told me, like I had offended her. But I wouldn't care what she names her future child, I don't see her enough for it to matter.

We used to see both of our extended families multiples times a year. Now that everyone has kids it’s rare for the entire family to get together, maybe once a year. Unless his cousin is also his best friend I really don’t think it would matter.

Lol It’s ok but I wouldn’t .  I had so many names that people took cause i took way longer to hand kids. I just let it go and found new ones.
In 7th grade I made up the name “Arabella” (so I thought”. It’s the top most popular names today 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 As soon as I saw it on a list I was heart broken and was like nope. That’s out. Lol it sucks when you’re behind on popping them out 😩
