Just need a rant

I’ve worked in the same nursery for 14 years. I’m currently on maternity leave with my 2 month old and I had made arrangements to meet a colleague and take my little boy in to see the staff and children at the nursery. The manager (who I’ve known 14 years and never even sent a text when I had him) has called me to tell me it’s too busy and it will be for a while so I can’t take him in. Before I left people were making arrangements to come and see us, not one person has! There is a handful of people who have asked how we are but other than that no one has really bothered to get in touch. I know I’m just ranting but I’m really upset as I feel like people don’t care about my son 😢
