Baby moving head a lot?!

So the first day he was born he literally turned his head to face his daddy when he heard his voice. He has done this ever since when he hears daddy. He is now 10 days old and each day the head movement has increased. I’ve had him laying on my chest and he completely lifted his head up and looked out the window (I’m assuming because it’s so light outside compared to inside). He kept his head up for a good 20 seconds (I obviously had my hand behind his head as soon as he lifted up but it was just there in case- I didn’t really provide any support).

He also will be saying on my chest with his head facing one way, and decide he wants to be facing the other, so lifts his head up and turns it to the other side.

Is this normal? I thought babies weren’t supposed to have this much head control until like 3-4 months.
