Typical Day?

Question

What does a typical day look like for you and your baby right now? I’m wondering if I should be doing more for my little one in terms of activities and teaching. I feel like 1 is a unique age, still a baby and not able to do toddler things but also old enough to be curious and explore.

She gets up between 8-8:30 am. She roams around the upstairs while I watch her until about 9. She eats breakfast and right after I offer her milk in her supply cup. She plays from around 9:30-10:30 while drinking her milk and then goes down for her first nap between 10:30-11 am. She sometimes doesn’t take it as of lately, but if she does she gets up around 12-12:30. She eats lunch which usually takes a half hour and then I offer her 6 oz. of milk again or usually let her finish off what she didn’t drink in the morning. We go do errands or play around the house in different areas until about 3:30pm. Then she goes down for second nap (between 3:30-4pm) and will either get up on her own in an hour or I wake her by no later than 5:30pm. Dinner at 5:30pm followed by more milk (up to 16 oz. a day) and playtime until a bath every other night at 6:45pm or keeps playing while drinking her milk. She watches a little tv every night from about 7:30 pm until 7:50 pm. Then we go upstairs, brush her teeth, read a book and it’s bedtime around 8pm!

I play with her a little here and there and point out things and books and talk to her. She mostly explores on her own though honestly!

My baby gets up between 7-7:30, she gets her diaper changed and then she plays in the living room and usually watches a little tv. Around 8:00 she gets breakfast and some milk in her sippy cup. Then we usually listen to some music and she roams around the house playing. Morning nap is around 10-10:30 and I give her a bottle before she goes down and she usually sleeps till around 11-11:30. If I need to run errands or anything we usually go after she wakes up from her nap. Lunch is usually around 12:30 or so. After lunch we usually try to get outside in the back yard for a little while, if it’s nice out, otherwise it’s just more play time inside. Afternoon nap is around 2-2:30, she gets another bottle at this time and she will sleep until around 3:30-4:00. When she wakes up she gets a snack and listens to music. She also has a sippy cup throughout the day of water or sometimes juice. Around 5 she waits by the window for her dad to get home from work. Then we usually have dinner around 5:30. We clean up and start her bath around 6:15. Her dad usually gives her bath since he doesn’t have as much time to spend with her during the day. Then we do lotion & jammies and then we all sit on the couch and read a couple of books. Then my husband takes her into her room, gives her a bottle and puts her to bed usually between 7-7:30.
