Pads with wings recommendations?

I just can’t get on board with tampons. I’ve tried different size and brands but unfortunately they leave me in pain. So I use pads, ultra thin, they aren’t uncomfortable and they do the job without leaking. The only issue I have is those darn wings! I can’t find good pads that don’t have the things on them. Kotex has some every now and then but they are so hard to find. Does anyone else have this issue and have a possible recommendation if something I haven’t tried?
