Hi guys-

I am having a baby in a couple months and am all set up to take 12 weeks off. We recently found out that my little has some congenital disorders that may require surgery and serious monitoring for a while. I am currently unsure if I’ll be able to return to work immediately after the 12 weeks depending on exactly what’s going on with baby after birth. I am going to speak to my HR department and boss this coming week but am curious if anyone has any idea if I would qualify for some type of short term disability or unemployment with this situation?
