Best way to clean bottles? I legit just planned on throwing them in the dishwasher on the top rack 😅

I feel like the dishwasher does a better job than me hand washing and not to mention easier? But is it bad to put them in the dishwasher? My bottles are NUK and MAM so they are dishwasher safe.

The AAP’s recommendation is not to use a dishwasher to wash anything plastic for a baby or toddler since the heat can leach harmful chemicals. I use glass bottles.

I hand washed mine, but that's because my dishwasher sucked at getting it all out. Plus I felt more confident they were clean when I did it myself. It was annoying to be washing bottles all the time, but it was worth it to not put my daughter at risk of getting sick because the bottles weren't properly cleaned.

I hand wash and use the dishwasher.  Whichever is convenient in the moment. And I’ve never sterilized anything ever.

I always hand washed at the end of the night and then sterilized them. I know some people will insist you don't need to sterilize them. Then again some people swear by heating up bottles in the microwave. We all have our own standard of care and ways of doing things to give ourselves peace of mind, so just do what makes you feel most comfortable.

I’ve always hand washed then used the steriliser before every use so that I know 100% there’s no left over formula or anything

I would sometimes dishwash or steam them but now I find myself hand washing them every day. We only have 4-5 bottles that we keep in rotation, so it really only takes a few minutes to wash them.

Hand wash then either sanitise or run through the dishwasher (you dont have to sanitize if you use dishwasher).
