She dropped us because of him.

So yesterday I found out a childhood friend dropped me and my best friend out of the blues. A few days before, I asked her to meet me at the mall and she didn’t know my best friend was gonna be there because I knew if I mentioned her she wouldn’t show up. Well we told her that her boyfriend has been trying to fuck with my best friend and it wasn’t the first time either, and a few minutes after that he calls her and she told him she was done with him. I thought it was true but then yesterday I saw that she unfriended me on Instagram and Facebook and her “bf” blocked me on all social media.

My first thought was that she went back to him and he told her he’d take her back only if she dropped us, I guess she told him it was me and my best friend who told her about it. It hurt because we grew up together since the 5th grade and we’re 21 years old. We’ve looked out for her, and she would call crying that she got into a fight with him and I would go pick her up and offer her a place to stay. He hits her, manipulates her, yells at her, he makes her feel bad for having seen someone else the first day they met when they weren’t even official. She makes excuses for him when he gets drunk and starts hitting up female to fuck with them.

I texted her yesterday but I don’t know if she blocked my number or not but I pretty much told her to take care and have a nice life. I cannot be her friend anymore if she ever tried to come back. To me, losing a friend hurts more than a breakup. We were only trying to look out for her and I’ve seen how much she changed when she got with him. Well life goes on.
