just kinda venting so i don’t keep messing w my mind but advice or similar stories are welcome !

so first year college student. I’ve met some good friends in my building. I go to hang with my friend on the floor below me a lot like ever since the second week of school because they have a good group that always hangout down there. There’s one guy in the group that since I first met him I’ve had like a crush on him bc he fits my “type” and is funny but I didn’t do anything cuz I’m bad w boys and all I did was tell the girls in the group like “yeah he’s cute.” Well I’ve been like kinda crushing since September but didn’t really wanna try too hard with him bc I really just wanted a good group of friends and didn’t wanna mess that up. But the more I talk to him and find out that we have things in common the deeper I get pulled in. And I found out we both love this one song that’s not popular and is about college age relationship which ugh now I get mixed emotions listening to it.

Well one of my other friends also thinks he’s cute since probably the beginning too (but she didn’t hangout with all of us at first so I kinda was the first to say). But the last day of last semester we were all celebrating and my friend and the guy kissed. So ever since this semester started there’s been some relationship stuff in the friend group but he’s also not the kinda guy to be upfront about anything. She said she likes him but she also likes this other guy so she’s kinda just talking to and hanging with both seeing who will do something first. I kinda don’t think that’s fair to the guy but also I don’t wanna sound like a child or jealous

idk but does anyone have experience w relationships forming in friend groups or just relationships that aren’t just hookups in college bc I feel like that’s all what guys these days want
