When baby wakes happy during the night, do you...

I'm just curious....when your LO wakes during the night wanting to play, do you play with them or try to get them to go back to sleep. My little girl has been waking up and wanting to stay up playing, talking and laughing. Sometimes for hours. I always play with her and follow her lead on going back to sleep but I'm wondering if by doing this, its making her think its okay/this is normal rather than teaching her daytime is for play and nighttime for sleeping. She gets so loud sometimes I have to close my room door and take her in the closet so she doesn't wake up her 8 year old brother lol
