Fever because of vaccines ?

I’m a FTM .. took my 4 month old baby yesterday to get his vaccines I showered his later that day and today I noticed that he has 100 fever gave him infants Tylenol and put wet towels on him and seems to be going down but idk I’m kind of nervous 😩 should I worried?

Fevers are a commonly reported adverse reaction to vaccines, and usually not serious. Just keep an eye on it. Keep giving tylenol and/or using lukewarm baths and wet cloths to keep the fever down. If the fever spikes quickly or gets high, some babies have fevrile seizures.

Its normal to have a low grade fever after vaccines. It means its working and kicking in the immune system like they are designed to do. Tylenol can decrease the effectiveness of vaccines though.

It is normal , my daughter got fevers all the time with her shots. One time it got to 104 and I had her at the ER at 2 am, but all they did was give her Tylenol and we stayed all night so they could keep an eye on it but it went down eventually at 6 or 7 am and was able to go home.

Please dont treat a fever of 100. A fever below 101 in a baby doesnt need treated. They dont even consider it a fever in babies until it reaches 100.4. But yes vaccines can cause a rise in body temperature. It's usually more of a stress reaction. My son always gets a slight elevation in body temp from vaccines.
