I literally cannot even afford to take maternity leave, but I have no choice. I'm gonna be at work until my fucking water breaks. And then be SOL for my measly six weeks of unpaid leave.

I plan on working til I go into labor LOL. I joke with my coworkers that my water might break at my desk haha. It’s not because I WANT to, I just need to extend my maternity leave for as long as I can. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I work in an office for a customer service position at a big corporation. So 9 hours of sitting in front of the computer doing data entry and taking phone calls. My tailbone and back kills me some days but for now (at 27weeks) it’s still very doable.

I’m a medic in the Army, gonna work until I go into labor. I’m getting out the Army and I planned it so that after my 12 weeks of maternity leave, I can take 60 additional days of regular leave until my end of service date. Then I’ll just be getting ready for school and our next move.

I’m working until I can’t or the baby falls out lol. I’m a hairstylist whose newer in the industry so I don’t have a full clientele yet so I work a second job as a bar tender to makeup the difference. I work at the salon around 2-3 days a week around 6-10 hours. Then I bartend about 2-3days a week for about 6-8 hours each shift. It’s hard and I’m seriously struggling but I don’t have much of a choice.

I’m a Assistant Manager at a retail store and I’m going out at 37 Weeks two weeks before schedule C-section...Kids go on spring break that first week so I figured we could take a vacation just to spend time with them before the  baby comes.

For everyone who voted, what are your jobs? Just curious. I am an infant teacher, and it’s killing my back at 29 weeks pregnant. I’m so tired too, it’s constantly picking up babies and I don’t get to sit much! I have eight in the room with me and another woman, but she never helps me and I feel like I have to do it all alone! I want to take off at least a week to de stress, clean, and relax!!! But recently I’ve been thinking of taking a couple! It’s so hard in here! I need to get myself back to normal before baby gets here.

I have an office job (accounting), and I plan to quit at 35 weeks. I have no option for maternity leave, so I plan to take a year off. A new girl will be starting February 10, so I will be helping with the training and transition. If needed I would stay till 36 weeks, but I don't want to be a third wheel.

(UK) I’m a carer, so working up until 36 weeks, mainly to make sure I have time to be organised even if she comes early as we have a delay on the nursery and such due to building work on our house
