Should I be worried?

I’m 39W1D & I haven’t been checked to see if I’m dilated at all. My doctor only did a check up at 36 weeks to make sure things were okay, but other than that he hasn’t checked me at my weekly appointments. 🙃

My doctor gave me the option, he said after you are in the safe range of delivering it’s mostly just fun to know but doesn’t mean much. You could be dilated for weeks, or have nothing then suddenly go into labor.
I get it checked each time just because I want to know, but I don’t have to especially since I’ve had no cramping or anything

I haven’t been checked and just had an apt yesterday at 38+4

My doctor starts checking at 38 weeks. I’m sure if you asked they wouldn’t have a problem with it!

They only check on time and the rest needs to be requested.

My Dr told me that they are only going to do it at 36 wks unless you specifically ask for it to be done to see progress. So I plan on asking every time until I give birth because I got to know for my sanity
