Ultrasound scare?

Cathy

Hello all,

I've just had another ultrasound at 33weeks due to a travel in a Zika zone. Everything is normal and all my tests came back negative for the Zika virus, so it was just a bonus ultrasound to see baby before it's born 😍.

Turns out that in the end of the consultation, the girl says: be right back I'm going to check with the doctor if we're missing something.

I'm not really concerned at this point and shrug it off. But then the doctor comes in and says that the left ventricle of cephalic fluid is measuring on the threshold of being "big" at 10mm.

He says that since it's on the threshold and that I'm nearing term, he wouldn't be concerned by it and the baby should be perfectly normal.

So I've googled the measurements (I know, not the best idea!), And yeah, anything above 10mm is considered slightly abnormal and could indicate either chromosomal anomaly or an infection.

I'm trying to stick to the diagnosis of the radiologist, but I can't wait to see my doctor next week to reassure me a bit more 😭.

Anyone else got the same measurement?
