Can I be dilated without losing my mucus plug?

First time momma here! I get checked if I’m dilated soon but I haven’t lost any pieces of my mucus plug yet! Does this mean I’m not dilated at all? Or can I still be dilated without losing my mucus plug? Thanks, mommas!! 💕

I’m 1cm and 50% and I just now lost my plug. Hopefully I’ve dilated more🤞🏼🤞🏼

Just keep in mind that dilation isn’t an indicator of impending labour neither is losing your mucus plug.

Yes u can I just was in the hosp last night for braxton hicks every 1-2 mins for 3 hours,  I am 2 cm dilated but no mucus plug .

Yep. I was dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced with my second for 4 weeks and never noticed losing my mucus plug.
