Hello, I need some advice or suggestions.

I am currently living with a male friend I’ve known for a few years and currently still dance with. First time living with a room mate.

When my ex and I broke up, I reached out to him if he wanted to move into an apartment with me. My biggest regret to this day.

I love my apartment and I’ve been trying really hard to make it feel like a home. We’ve been living there for 6 months now and he still has boxes sitting out in the living room that need to be unpacked. He hoards dishes in his room and never ever ever cleans up after himself. Example: he cut his hair and left it in the sink and in the bathtub. His personal hygiene is seriously lacking. He actually smells so badly some nights.

Ive brought up how I feel the cleaning duties always fall onto me and how I feel like his housekeeper countless times. He’s feed me empty promises about a couch that was suppose to be there when we moved in...that I just got before Christmas.I brought up a cleaning schedule and he was all for it....but he still hasn’t done it. Ever.

I’ve had enough. Anything I bring up, he has an excuse for or argues with me, especially if I have a “tone” 🙄

How do I ask him to move out, but in a way so we can still be civil at dance and other social functions? Any ideas. Should I just tell him my boyfriend wants to move in?
