Putting my foot down! 😡

As a mom... I feel like we are only obligated to take so much shit from our kids. I love my son to death but I cannot handle any more arguing and back talking and being disrespectful.

I used to be that mom that thought spanking would work when he was younger. It never did so I resorted to time outs and as he got older, grounding/removing privileges.

He’s almost 12 now and it doesn’t matter what he tell him to do, he back talks and argues about EVERYTHING. I’m at my whits end and on the verge of ripping my hair out. He WHINES constantly. I’ve discussed with his doctor about possible autism and she doesn’t believe he’s on the spectrum despite his outbursts and tantrums.

I’ve gotten to the point that I will no longer tolerate his behavior. We have a list of “house rules” that he refuses to follow so we’ve decided that we will no longer be giving him warnings or “threats” of consequences, we will simply just make him go to his room for the evening. We’ve taken his TV out of his room completely as well as his video games.

I’m just so fed up!
