Everyone says take it slow and work your way up... and you should.
BUT! By slow... I literally mean he ONLY uses his pinky the first time. And do it while having vaginal sex... doggy style or whatever works for you guys... it just makes it easier to transition in my opinion... then the next time you guys have sex (if you felt ok with the first time) step it up and have him use a middle or index finger... again ONLY using that one finger during that entire session... and again while having vaginal sex. Then step it up to two fingers and so on! If you've enjoyed it up to that point and feel ready for his cock then go for it! 
But it's a BIGGGG mistake thinking "taking it slow" means he sticks his pinky in for 30 seconds, then his index finger for 60 seconds and then he wants to stuff you with his sausage! That is NOT taking it slow and that is how you get hurt and never want to try it again!
So make it clear to him that the slower you guys take it the first few times the more likely you'll enjoy it in the long run!
And lastly... but most importantly!
Cross contamination is a VERY real thing and it happens VERY easily!
And UTIs are VERY real and they totally suck and equate to y'all not having any sexytime until you're all healed up!
Do not make the mistake of thinking you can handle this part on your own and just clean up really well after the fact- it doesnt work that way... trust me!
Explain this entire concept to him VERY thoroughly before making the jump!😂😂😂😂

you have to be relaxed , i would recommend having just normal sex first for a while so that you loosen up and relax then have him finger it while y’all have sex thennnn he can start slowly putting it in, this is how me and my SO did it and it felt great !!
