1 week old constipated?

My baby is 1 week 1day today & has been drinking breast milk and formula. He switched from Enfamil infant pro to Enfamil Gentlease & the gentlease caused him to have projectile vomiting & he’s now experiencing constipation. I’m a first time mom and have no idea what to do! He has his initial doctor appointment set for this Thursday coming up. What can I do in the mean time to get things moving again & get  him feeling better?

The problem could be the supplementing because this happened to me. My baby didn’t poop for maybe 2 days since we had went home. I was only breastfeeding and introduced newborn formula. The first thing you shouldn’t do is keep switching formulas on your own. If theres a need for a different formula it normally takes about 2 weeks to see a change, wether it be good or bad. Call the doctor first, you don’t always have to go in. For me my mother had rubbed my sons tummy with baby oil and wrapped his tummy. The rubbing helped him finally go but since my first child was lactose I knew the signs already and by time my son was 3 weeks old I knew the change was due to the formula. So on my one I tried soy formula and immediately I saw him with relief

Warm baths. Even slightly putting a thermometer in his little butt can stimulate him to poop.

Is it hard pellet poops??? If not then it’s not constipation. Just not going isn’t. Newborns can go up to a week without pooping. Breastfed even longer. They have to learn how to relax the muscles to poop.

Bicycle kicks, tummy time, belly rubs, and gas drops are the things that usually helped my daughter.
Sometimes vibration from a bouncer, swing or something similar can help
